Volunteer Position

Step into the spotlight and help bring our most glamorous event of the year to life! As a volunteer at our Oscars®-inspired red carpet Award Ceremony, you’ll be part of a magical evening that celebrates and empowers Australia’s next generation of filmmakers.

From welcoming nominees and special guests to supporting the smooth running of the event, volunteers play a vital role in creating an unforgettable experience. Expect lights, cameras, and plenty of excitement as we recognise the incredible creativity and talent of young storytellers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a major red carpet event, gain valuable events experience, and contribute to a night filled with inspiration and celebration.

  • Volunteers will be required to commit to half-a-day of volunteering. You'll be asked to arrive by 4.00pm on the day itself, with further details provided to successful applicants ahead of the event. The day concludes at 9.30pm. Learn more about the event here.

    Volunteer tasks may include:

    • Registering and greeting attendees

    • Offering general event assistance

    • Supporting pack-in and pack-out activities

    • Assisting partners and event staff as needed

    1. Applicants for this position should:

      • Be aged 18 or over (unless otherwise specified)

      • Be fluent in spoken English and comfortable communicating with guests and staff

      • Be able to tolerate extended periods of activity, including standing, walking, or moving around the venue (wheelchair users are welcome)

      • Be available to volunteer for the full day, from 4.00pm until 9.30pm.

      • Be punctual, reliable, and professional in attitude and appearance

      • Be comfortable taking direction and working as part of a team

      • Have a friendly and approachable manner when interacting with attendees

      • Be physically able to assist with light manual tasks (e.g. moving chairs, signage, setting up spaces)

      • Be respectful and inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences

      • Have an interest in film, media, or events (preferred but not required)

  • You are someone with excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills. You have an enthusiastic, bubbly, and positive attitude. You are also organised and able to multitask, including in demanding situations. You are reliable and punctual, and also love to have a good time! If you’re passionate about or interested in the film industry, that’s a bonus!
